About us & Contact
GOAL: To improve Animal welfare in Guyana and foster a future generation of compassionate and caring humans.
Founded in February 2019, Paws for a Cause – Guyana was created with an ambitious list of objectives. Overall, we wanted to advocate for animal rights.
We wanted to prevent animal cruelty through interaction and connection with younger generations, to promote humane, ethical, and responsible pet ownership, to advocate for controlling the animal population via spay and neuter campaigns, and to assist in cases of reported animal neglect and abuse.
On a broader scale, we recognized the role of animals in human welfare through therapy, mental health management and suicide prevention, and we wanted to to support and foster the inextricable links between animal and human health.
We are formally registered as a Non-Profit Inc. with Five Directors.
